The things which will announce, accompany and follow after the return of Christ No 2. "What it is the Christian waiting for Christ's return should look out for." So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand, Luke 21:31. Our text refers to specific events which will herald the near return of Christ. I have often used the illustration of the directions given to a traveller becoming more and more detailed as he nears his destination to show that so it is with prophecy. I am convinced that God's people will be able to tell with increasing confidence, the time of the Saviour's return as that wonderful event draws near. There will come a time when they will know to look up for the time of Christ's return has come, Luke 21:28. There are three developments that are harbingers of the approaching nearness of Christ's return.
