The 12th picture of Christ - Boaz 8. He was an efficient and a successful kinsman redeemer Ruth and Boaz have spend some 3 months in each others company working in the barley and the wheat harvest. Doubtless, in the great providence of God, a mutual affection had sprung up. God would never ordain a marriage without true love being its basis. The marriage that God arranges will last! There is teaching here for us all us Christians. Ruth would find help at the feet of Boaz. "And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do," Ruth 3:4. It was at his feet that instruction would come. Consider: Mk 5:22-23. "And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live." Consider also Mark 7:25-26. "For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet: The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter." It is also the place where the believer should remain throughout their lives, receiving instruction. "Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word," Luke 10:38.
