Test for citizenship of heavenLesson from a childRev. Ivan Foster · Sunday - PMMatthew 18:3 · Sun Nov 6, 2005
Our Presbytery recently heard a report of the vile content of various materials used in the teaching of children in the state schools of our land. It was so impure and improper that details of it could not be read out. Young people of school age are being exposed to this corruption day and daily. Christian education within the FPC, provides a proven, morally and academically, superior alternative to the state schools. More FPs should avail of it for their children. Our text is set in the midst of the Saviour's condemnation of those who hinder children coming to Him. Nothing can be surer than such a hinderance will be the consequence of the education policies under which most children in our land are taught. Earlier this week, the government reveal the basis of the test that would-be citizens of the UK most successfully take before being granted citizenship. I will say nothing of the foolish nature of many the questions in the test nor of the ludicrous fact that candidates may take the test as many times as necessary until they pass it! Instead I wish to note with you the test that God sets for entrance into His kingdom.
