We continue our consideration of the conversion of Israel at the return of Christ. In Romans 11:12, 15, Paul speaks of their 'fall' and 'diminishing' and their 'casting away' but he also speaks of their 'fulness', their 'receiving'. There is to be a restoration of Israel, a reversal of their present circumstances and a return to God's favour. He uses the gardener's method of grafting in a branch as an illustration of what God is going to do again with Israel, Rom 11:23-24. This conversion, this grafting in will take place when the Saviour returns. This conversion and the blessing which will follow are the fulfilling of God's promise in Genesis 17:1-8.
