"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Cor 6:9-11. Medical research usually heralds its successes by announcing that its latest development has proved useful in the treatment of some disease in a number of trial cases. Such news is received with much public joyfulness. However, the long-term results often do not match the euphoria with which the initial announcement was made. Indeed, long-term disappointment is often the lasting legacy of such developments. It is not so with the medicine that God has proffered to the world for its many ills and woes. The gospel of Jesus Christ has stood the test of time and will stand the test of eternity. Our text provides us with an example of this wonderful proof. Consider our text.
