CENTRAL TO THE RETURN OF CHRIST IS THE CONVERSION OF ISRAEL In Romans 11:12, 15, Paul speaks of their 'fall' and 'diminishing' and their 'casting away' but he also speaks of their 'fulness', their 'receiving'. There is to be a restoration of Israel, a reversal of their present circumstances and a return to God's favour. He uses the gardener's method of grafting in a branch as an illustration of what God is going to do again with Israel, Rom 11:23-24. This conversion, this grafting in will take place when the Saviour returns. "And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins," Romans 11:26, 27.
