Why Damnation is Delayed "The iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full," Genesis 15:16. The matter of the delay of the judgment of the wicked is a question that is often asked, even in heaven. "And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" Revelation 6:10. The earth has heard this cry on many occasions. "And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground," Genesis 4:10. "LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?" Psalm 94:3. "And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" Luke 18:7-8. There are a number of reasons for the delay and the Lord gives us one of those reasons in the verse before us. Let us notice some important points in this statement.
