The mystery of the kingdom of GodRev. Ivan FosterMark 4:11 · Sunday - PMSun Oct 10, 2004
In the words of our text we have the core of the Saviour's message touched upon -- the kingdom of God. "Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel," Mark 1:14, 15. Our text records words spoken to the disciples alone. The kingdom of God is a mystery to the unconverted man. The initiated count the world foolish while the uninitiated consider the believer a fool. "And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad," Acts 26:24.
